ATLAS CABLE IND. Was started in 1980 to manufacture all types of House Hold Wires, Flexibles and Cables with Copper and Aluminium Conductor as S.S.I. Unit in Dharmaj, Dist : Anand.

This unit was promoted by Quality Conscious Industrialists of sound financial status engaged in mainly export oriented products having word wide recognition backed by team of Engineers and Technicians having very wide experience in Cable Technology (Design, Manufacture Quality Control, Testing and Installation work upto 100 KV) in large Cable units of Repute.

Properties and Advantages of ‘ATLAS’ Cables :

  1. A basic advantage of ‘ATLAS’ is that insulation resistance and breakdown strength are practically unaffected by moisture, In fact, ‘ATLAS’ Cables may even be laid directly under Water,
  2. ‘ATLAS’ Cables may be overloaded for short periods without any effect on Cable life.
  3. Since there is no impregnating compound in these Cables, they can be laid vertcallly and on steep slopes. Further, there is no danger of bleeding at lower level sealing ends.
  4. ‘ATLAS’ Cables have high short circuit safety since they can withstand a high transient Conductor temperature without any deformation of insulation or displacement of Conductors.
  5. ‘ATLAS’ Cables are resistant to Practically all chemicals encountered in practice. Most of the common acids, alkalies and saline solutions have no effect on ‘ATLAS’.
  6. ‘ATLAS’ Cables are flame retardant since ‘ATLAS’ ignites with great difficulty and that too when directly exposed to a flame. It does not propagate the flame. ‘ATLAS’ extinguishes itself as soon as the source of fire is removed.
  7. Due to their light Weight. ‘ATLAS’ Cables are easy to install and handle. Besides, there is a saving in Cable supports. Small bending radii permit the termination of these Cables in limited space. This eases the termination of ‘ATLAS’ cables in switchboards and control panels.
  8. Low tension ‘ATLAS’ cables do not require sealing ends when installed indoors, hence termination is done quickly and economically.
  9. ‘ATLAS’ cables have a smooth outer surface resulting in a neat appearance when installed. ‘ATLAS’ outer sheath is tough and abrasion proof.
  10. ‘ATLAS’ cables have a long service life.

INTEGRATED PLANT FOR EXCELLENT PRODUCT QUALITY

ATLAS has an integrated Cable manufacturing Plant with facilities right from Wire drawing to Packing of the finished Product under one roof, and Produces Cables of High quality with ISI Certification and DGMS approval. ATLAS has implemented an extensive quality assurance and quality Control Programme. In Its Test and Development Laboratory, fully equipped with most sophisticated and modern Instruments, the Engineers are busy Checking,testing and ensuring quality of inputs as well as the Product at every stage. What is more important is that the finished Cables are tested under Specified Working Conditions to ensure Satisfactory performance.

A WIDE RANGE FOR A VARIETY OF USES

ATLAS manufactures PVC and FRLS cables for a variety of applications in grades from KV to 6.6 KV.

The range includes power cables for underground systems, factories, power stations, Sub-Station and distribution Systerms; Control cables for control systems; Singnalling cables for the Indian Railways and Mining Cables for use in mines and quarries. To meet the challenge of fire hazards we have also developed Flame Retardant Low Smoke (FRLS) Cables,which are in great demand. The Company’s Products have the approval of Indian Standards Institution (ISI) and Director General Mining Services (DGMS).

ATLAS PVC CABLES THE BEST BET

For low Voltages, ATLAS PVC Cables are higly Cost effective, have easy flexibility And immunity to Corrosion, abrasion and moisture. They can withstand severe bending and are highly resistant to Ozone, ultraviolet rays, Chemical reactions and impact crushing. Not Forgetting their low jointing cost and suitability for high differential levels of cable ends.

WARNING

Do not use PVC Cables where they are likely to come into contact with sulphuric acid, highly chlorinated hydrocarbon, Cresylic acid, pyridine fufurel and ketones.

SPECIFICATIONS

IS 1554 (PI)   - Cables with Copper/Aluminium Conductor for 1.1 KV / 1100 V. Both earthed apped with non-Hygroscopic tape, steel Strip or round Wire armoured and Overall PVC Sheathed.

PVC SPECIAL CABLES FOR SPECIAL USE

For underground and Outdoor Use, PVC insulated, PVC inner-Sheathed, galvanised Steel Wire or Strip armoured Cables as per Customers’ Specifications.

PVC MINING CABLES

Manufactured as per IS-1554 and National Coal Board, U.K. Specifications, these Cables maintain Conductivity of armour more than 75% of the cables’s largest Conductor. Single Wire or double Wire armoured as per requirement.

HR PVC CABLES

HR PVC Cables can be Operated at 85°C Continous Conductor temperature so that 16-18% more current can be drawn with same Conductor Size.

FLAME RETARDANT LOW SMOKE CABLES (FRLS)

Flme Retardant Low Smoke Cables Find application in Power generating Stations. Sub-Stations, and industries with high fire risks. With low smoke emission, high Oxygen index,
high temperature index, and low acid emission, these cables contribute to safety of men and machines, saving lives and costly equipment from damage in case of fire.
